Top rank is certainly cheaper than £50...
But I think the people who were already tiers 3,4 and 5 should get more perks because they paid much more than £5, £10 or £15. They aren't exactly getting 3 times as many perks as before, so the money might as well have been a waste.

The way we did it was to convert the current ranks to their corresponding new one. The ranks have even more perks than before due to being condensed into 3 and also from the new plugins.

I appreciate all the money you have donated to the server it has kept us running each month.

I had Tier's back when it came with 5 slots to give away, so surely I should keep the 5 (or 6 counting the +1) slots that I've had for two years now? Not too sure about losing 3...

I'm also with Oady and voodoo about the price drops, surely we should get even more slots or something to make up the equivalent?

Current ranks are different to the previous tier ranks. People who previously donated were given new ranks as a thank you for the past donation and the new ranks each come with one extra slot, not four.

No, you shouldn't get more slots, it's just tough luck really. If you bought a T-Shirt for £10 that then went in the sale a day later at half price down to £5, you wouldn't go in ask for another T-Shirt because you paid more would you? Think of it that the new ranks are on a permanent sale.

You have not 'Bought' which means

To acquire in exchange for money or its equivalent; purchase.

When you have given your donation, CityCraft has been nice and given you something in return: Ranks, Perks and slots to sell yourself.
Be grateful for what you have, it's better than no rank and no slots to sell.

Nope, as soon as CC gave you the rank it is no longer a donation, it is a transaction, as you are giving money to someone and receiving something back.

On an unrelated topic Mojang have said that 'donating for perks' violates their terms of use, which will affect every server that runs off of server ranks, including CityCraft.

Quoting to repost to make sure people are aware of this.

There are NO current changes to the licence for mojang. The licence since release has always stated that you are not allowed to make money relating to anything in game. This includes a lot of pay to win servers that disguise this behaviour as donations.

However, from what I can make of it there are plans to re-word the EULA that will allow people to make money in some sense.
