Postby sleawnis » 23 Mar 2013, 20:57

Heres my very simple tutorial on how to make a quarry using mining turtles. This is not my code so dont thank me :)

Making The Turtle;

1) Make A Computer

2) Make A Turtle

3) Make A Mining Turtle

Now you have your mining turtle, Place it on a flat area and right click it. Put 64 coal, charcole or any fuel into the top-left slot. In the console type
Code: Select all
excavate (Size)

Replace the (Size) for whatever size you want your quarry to be.

If you place a chest behind the turtle, It will dump its items into there when it has a full inventory! Thanks for reading and sorry its of poor quality. Ill be making more computercraft tuts soon :P

For crafting you can also use a Ruby/Sapphire/Green sapphire pick in place of diamond.

A quarry will be VERY expensive to make for a new person, especially with all the machines required for it :)
A mining turtle is very easy to make, and can be powered with a bucket of lava

Agreed, my turtle army got me started! I use coal though, not complete stacks, 16 will do as often they'll find coal on route :) (I dig tunnels instead of pits though)
