Teamspeak - Tips and Tricks

TS Tips and Tricks
Heres just a quick and simple guide to modify your Teamspeak to make it easier to use :P
Includes making you log in automatically to the channel you want, be able to add a Master Volume to TS in case it gets annoying, how to set hot-keys to mute speakers/set away/microphone.

Changing the Channel you appear when you join TeamSpeak:

1) Bookmarks -> Manage Bookmarks
Image

2) Add/Edit the bookmark for CityCraft
Label it CityCraft
Add server address: servers.citycraft.co.uk
Add the nickname you want to use when you use the bookmark
Image
Then click more.

3) Make sure on Teamspeak you are in the Channel you want to log into: Then for the 'Default Channel' click the refresh like button, it should fill it in for you. If the Channel normally requires a Password then you need to enter it below.

4) This is additonal but if you want to automatically go to that channel when you start Teamspeak. Make sure Connect on Startup is selected and click Apply.

There you go :P

How to add transparency and show Country Flags next to names:

Here is what I mean by flags and transparency being used for Minecraft

and here is the way you can adjust these if you follow it through the image,

How to mess with your toolbar
You can add many new buttons to the Interface itself, as well as a Master Volume for Teamspeak. Each coloured box links what is shown or opened up.
Image
Also to move the toolbar elsewhere, drag the dotted line on the far left of the toolbar.

Plugins
Image
Orange - Appscanner - Shows others above your avatar what Programs you have running (like Skype) and is adjustable by its settings.
Red - Soundboard - This is an extra plugin you may not have and I wont go through this, its simply what it says on the tin though.
Blue - TSOverlay - This is an developed plugin which allows you to record your gameplay, see the ts chat in games (but not Minecraft/Java) as well as who joined the server etc.

Hotkeys
To set keys on your keyboard to mute your mic without having to use the mouse to find the window and select it, you can set up hotkeys like so:
Image
To add one or edit one you have the buttons below, Im going to show you how to bring TS to top of other windows temporarily until you click a different one:
Add a new hotkey, you will start out like this
Image
Assign which key you want to do the action by clicking 'No hotkey assigned then press the keyboard key'
Then for the action, you will need to Show Advanced Actions then Search Bring Client to Front, and click it, then Okay.

Now when I click 8, TS will come to the top, even in some fullscreen games.

Going to have to get more involved here with Teamspeak or Vent for some VOIP funsies. Safe for younger gamers too? Think it would be lots of fun for my Niece too! TMRLove

I can't seem to get the transparency thing to work; any ideas why? When I try to open it, it says something about the overlay plugin and the hotbar :?
