Code: Select all

Code: Select all

Using String (287)
- using string will allow you to right click an area to see if it is protected or not.
- It also gives you the name of a protection.
- It will tell you if you can build or not (this is a common problem if you can't put items down, this is a way of checking if it's a problem with the protection - in this case, send a /modreq)
- If two protections show up, this most likely means you have a plot within a town such as "grassplots4", Which is fine.

You'll either see:

Image
Where it says "frisc0_grass" is the protection name.

Image
Which means you are in an unprotected area (if your plot is unprotected, send a /modreq)

/region info <region name>
This will show you the information:
Image
- The owner of the region is set by the moderator who created the protection.
- It will also tell you anyone who is a member in this protection. This allows them to build within this region.
- To add members to your region, you MUST be the 'owner'. Moderators can 'addowners' so they can addmembers too. Send a modreq for this.
- You can only use /region info on a region you are the owner of - use string to see a protection name.

/region addmember <region name> <username>
Use this command to add someone to your protection.
Image
- You will see the image above when the command was completed sucessfully. If it wasn't, check your spelling.
- You can add as many users as you like (don't spell their username wrong!)
- To save time you can more people at once by adding more names on the end (/region addmember <region name> <username> <username> <username>)
- This allows people to build in this region

How to add people to your regions

Postby Disy » 20 May 2012, 19:55

People have been wondering how to add people to their regions so that they don't need to wait for a Moderator to do it.
This was added a few weeks ago, but not many people have understood how to use the commands. Here is a tutorial.

First, you want to get a piece of string.
Image
Right click the ground with the string. You should see a message pop up saying "Applicable Regions:" The region is the message after "Applicable Regions"
To find out who the owner of the region is to make sure you're able to edit the players able to build on it, type
/region info regionname
so in this case it'd be
/region info laroch'shogwarts
If the spot next to Owner: says your username then you have ownership access, and can edit the region.

In this case I've used Laroch's Hogwarts and am going to add __Neil__ to the permissions. I would type /region addmember laroch'shogwarts __Neil__ The command to add people to the region is
/region addmember RegionName PlayerName
Example: /region addmember laroch'shogwarts __Neil__

After adding them this message should show up:

Hope that helps you out! :)

Merged mine & Disy's threads together as they are about the same topic.

People can follow whichever one they choose!
